Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
ThreatDNS exists to help people stay safe online. To keep it fast and free for everyone, you agree not to:
- Run automated, scripted or bulk lookups, or scrape the site, beyond normal use within the daily limits. A paid API is on the way for automated use.
- Get around the daily limits, for example by rotating IP addresses, sharing sign-ins or creating extra accounts.
- Resell, republish in bulk or build a competing database from ThreatDNS results.
- Check email addresses you have no legitimate reason to check, or use breach results to harass, stalk, dox or target anyone.
- Use ThreatDNS to plan or support attacks, phishing, fraud or any other illegal activity.
- Try to break, overload or probe the Service or the sources it uses, or interfere with other people’s use.
- Break the terms of the third-party sources whose data ThreatDNS shows.
We may block or limit access for anyone who breaks this policy. To report abuse, write to abuse@dnsafe.net.
