THREATDNS by DNSAFE

Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms govern your use of ThreatDNS (threatdns.com, the "Service"), operated by Admiresty Corporation, a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

1. The Service

ThreatDNS checks domains, IP addresses and email addresses against public and commercial security sources and shows the results, with an optional AI summary. Free use is limited per day. Higher limits and the AI analyst come with DNSAFE plans, as shown on the Pricing page.

2. Information only

Results come from third-party sources and automated scoring. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and the AI analyst can make mistakes. Use ThreatDNS as one input to your own judgement. Don’t rely on it alone for decisions where an error could cause harm, and never visit a site just because ThreatDNS rated it low risk.

3. Accounts

You can use ThreatDNS without an account. Signing in uses your DNSAFE account, and your DNSAFE plan decides your limits. Your DNSAFE account and any paid plan are governed by the DNSAFE Terms of Service.

4. Acceptable use

Use of the Service must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, no automated or bulk querying beyond the daily limits, no getting around the limits, and no reselling of results.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, its design and the ThreatDNS, DNSAFE and ThreatGrid names belong to Admiresty Corporation. Data from third-party sources remains theirs and is subject to their terms. You may share individual reports, for example by sending the report link.

6. Availability

We aim to keep ThreatDNS available but don’t guarantee it. Sources can be slow or unavailable, and we may change, limit or stop any part of the Service.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADMIRESTY CORPORATION DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADMIRESTY CORPORATION’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law allows.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Admiresty Corporation against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.

10. Suspension

We may block or limit access for anyone who breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or whose use threatens the Service or its sources.

11. Disputes and governing law

We’ll first try to resolve any dispute informally. If that fails within 30 days, it will be settled by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, in English, in the State of Delaware, on an individual basis only (no class actions). These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in court.

12. General

These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Cookie Policy are the whole agreement for ThreatDNS. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service means you accept it.
