THREATDNS by DNSAFE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

In short: we use what you type only to run the check. We don’t sell data, show ads or use tracking or analytics cookies. Free-use counters expire after 24 hours. Email addresses are sent to a breach database to check them, and are never stored in readable form.

1. Who we are

ThreatDNS (threatdns.com) is operated by Admiresty Corporation, a Delaware corporation and the company behind DNSAFE ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy: privacy@dnsafe.net.

2. What we collect and why

3. The sources we ask

To check something, we send it to these services. Each has its own privacy terms.

Google Safe BrowsingDomain
AbuseIPDB, IPinfoIP address
SpamhausDomain or IP address, as a DNS lookup from our server

4. What we don’t do

5. How long we keep things

WhatHow long
Cached resultsUp to 24 hours (registry WHOIS answers aren’t stored)
Free-use counters24 hours
Sign-in fingerprint5 minutes
Web server logsUp to 14 days

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Because we don’t keep a history tied to you, there’s usually very little to find. Email privacy@dnsafe.net and we’ll reply within 30 days.

7. International transfers

ThreatDNS runs in the United States. Some sources above are run from other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

8. Security

Everything is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The server only accepts the connections it needs, and your DNSAFE session never leaves your browser except to confirm your plan with DNSAFE over an encrypted, private link.

9. Children

ThreatDNS isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be shown on the site before they take effect.
